As many as 96% of parents plan to buy a gift for June 1. As the Empik survey* shows - the cost per child will usually range from PLN 51 to PLN 100 (43%). The number of people who allocate a higher budget for this purpose than a year ago - from PLN 101 to PLN 300 (29%) - increased by 10 percentage points. The most popular gifts are invariably toys (68%) and books (60%). They are followed by: clothing and footwear, sports accessories, as well as console and PC games.
Over ¾ of respondents in the Empik study (N=3631 people)* declared that they would buy gifts for Children's Day this year.In the group of parents, this percentage increases to 96%.Interestingly, as many as 50% of people who do not have children intend to give a gift to someone from their family or friends on this occasion (increase by 10% y/y), and for 15% of respondents, June 1 is also an opportunity to gift themselves.
Most people, as much as 43%, will spend between PLN 51 and PLN 100 on a gift for one child.17% will choose a gift worth up to PLN 50 - this group is dominated by parents of the youngest and people who do not have their own children.Nearly ⅓ of the respondents intend to buy a gift worth between PLN 101 and PLN 300 (increase by 10 pp compared to 2022).It turns out that 65% of all respondents will buy gifts for two, three or more children.

The largest percentage of respondents (40%) will buy gifts a week in advance and 27% leave it until the last minute (the day before or even June 1).Every fifth person declares "gift readiness" two weeks before Children's Day, and less than 12% - at least a month before.
