Listing a product is the start. Getting it seen is the next step. Advertising and promotions, including sponsored listings, flash deals and coupon tools, are among the seller tools on our Sell page, and marketing tools are part of how we support our sellers.
Here we explain the main marketing tools in our seller dashboard at admin.airsoko.com. Screen names may change over time.

1. Coupons
Coupons are discount codes customers enter at checkout. In the dashboard's Coupons section you can set:
- Code customers will enter.
- Discount type and value.
- Minimum order amount that the cart must reach.
- Eligible categories or products, if the coupon should apply only to some items.
- Start and end dates.
- Maximum redemptions.
Active coupons appear on the marketplace-wide Coupons page with the store name, validity and minimum spend, and on your store page under Coupons.
Coupon ideas
- Welcome codes for first-time buyers.
- Minimum-spend codes to raise average order value.
- Category codes to move a specific range.
2. Promotions and campaigns
We run marketplace campaigns, visible on the Flash Deals page as active campaigns with dates and headline discounts. In the dashboard's Promotions area you can:
- Browse open campaigns.
- Enrol a product with your discount, within the campaign's discount range.
- Track performance of enrolled products under My promotions.
Campaigns put your products in front of deal-hunting shoppers during a defined period.
3. Airsoko Loop
Airsoko Loop lets affiliates, called Loopers, promote your products with personal links and earn commission on sales they drive. You pay commission only when you get sales.
In the dashboard you can enable Loop on individual products from the product form and manage them under Loop products.
4. Ads and banner slots
The Ads area is where you promote products, boost your shop or book a banner slot. Banner bookings include:
- Desktop and mobile banner images, with an optional headline.
- A click-through URL.
- Duration in days.
- Payment, with options shown such as Airsoko Pay or an M-Pesa STK push.
You can then track bookings and their performance. Ad pricing is shown in the dashboard when you book.
Choosing the right tool

- Want new customers? Start with a welcome coupon.
- Need to clear stock? Join a campaign or create a time-limited coupon. Our Seller SLA encourages promotions, discounts or bundles to avoid dead stock.
- Want to reach new audiences without upfront cost? Enable Loop.
- Want maximum visibility for a launch? Book an ad or banner slot.
Free ways to market on Airsoko
- The Community Feed. Post photos and short videos with tagged products.
- Your store page. A strong logo, cover, description and collections.
- Great listings. Clear titles, honest descriptions and good photos.
- Reviews. Reliable fulfilment earns reviews that sell for you.
Protect your margins
Discounts reduce your margin. Before running any promotion:
- Check your cost, commission and delivery costs. See our Commission Structure.
- Set a minimum order value where it makes sense.
- Limit redemptions and dates.
- Make sure you have enough stock. Cancellations for "out of stock" are penalised under our Sanction Policy.
An example: a launch plan
For example, say a cosmetics seller is launching a new skincare set. Two weeks before launch she improves the listing photos and description. In launch week she books a short banner slot and posts a video on the Community Feed. She enables Loop on the product so beauty creators can promote it, and creates a coupon with a minimum spend for first-time buyers. After two weeks she checks which channel drove the most orders and plans her next launch around it.
Measure, then repeat
- Coupons: how many redemptions, and did average order value rise?
- Campaigns: how did enrolled products perform during the campaign?
- Loop: which products do Loopers promote most successfully?
- Ads: did the booking lead to more views and orders?
A simple monthly marketing rhythm
- Week one: review last month's results and plan offers.
- Week two: refresh listings and post on the Feed.
- Week three: join an open campaign or run a coupon.
- Week four: check stock and prepare for the next month.
A tool for every goal
Coupons, campaigns, Loop and ads give our sellers a toolkit for every goal: winning new customers, clearing stock, reaching new audiences and launching products. Combine them with free tools like the Community Feed and a strong store page.
