On a marketplace, knowing who you are buying from matters. On Airsoko, we help you find trusted sellers through two directories: Official Stores and Stores.
Official Stores
Our Official Stores page is where you find "Verified brand & manufacturer stores". Stores listed there carry an Official label, and the label also appears on product pages and store pages, next to the store name.
Official stores are useful when you want:
- Genuine branded products directly from a brand or its official store.
- A consistent catalogue from one recognised source.
- Extra confidence for higher-value purchases.
The Stores directory
Our Stores page, headed "Verified & Trusted", lets you search stores across our marketplace. Stores listed there display a Verified Store label.
Use it to:
- Find a store you already know by name.
- Discover new sellers in categories you like.
- Jump straight to a store page to browse its full range.
What is on a store page?
Every store page on Airsoko brings the seller's information together. Depending on the store, you will find:
- Rating and review count, plus a follower count.
- Follow and Message buttons.
- Tabs for Shop, All Products, Collections, Coupons, Deals, Reviews and About.
- Featured products hand-picked by the seller.
- Shop by collection sections.
Why verification matters
Verification is one layer of trust, and it works together with our rules for sellers. Our Seller Agreement requires genuine products and accurate product information, and sets out a zero-tolerance policy on counterfeit goods. Our Sanction Policy sets out warnings, product disabling, fines, suspension and store closure for problems such as defective items, wrong items, inaccurate listings and counterfeits.
Verification is not the only signal
A label is helpful, but smart shoppers still check:
- Reviews on the product and store.
- Listing details such as condition, specifications and what is included.
- Delivery information for your location.
- Return terms, including our Returns Policy and any extra seller terms.
For sellers: building a trusted store
If you sell on Airsoko, your store page is your shop window. The branding settings in our seller dashboard let you add a logo, cover image, description, slogan, colours and social links. Setting up a store with us also involves identity verification (KYC) in the seller dashboard. A complete, honest store page combined with reliable fulfilment builds the kind of reputation shoppers look for.
How to use these directories day to day
Before a big purchase
For phones, appliances or electronics, start from Official Stores and see whether the brand you want has an official presence. If not, use the Stores directory to compare verified sellers who stock it.
When you find a store you like
Tap Follow so you can keep up with its products. Use Message for questions about stock, sizes or delivery. Check the Coupons and Deals tabs for current offers.
When something goes wrong
Contact the store first through Message for quick questions. For returns or problems with an order, use our Help & Support page so the issue is tracked.
Questions to ask on any store page
- How many reviews does the store have, and what do they say?
- Does the About section explain who the seller is?
- Are listings detailed and consistent?
- Are prices realistic compared with other stores?
- Does the store respond to questions?
An example
For example, say Wambui wants a new fridge. She checks Official Stores for the brand she prefers, compares the price with a verified store's listing, reads both stores' reviews, chooses her delivery location to compare estimates, and buys from the store whose delivery suits her move-in date. A few minutes of comparison gave her confidence in a big purchase.
For sellers aiming for an Official label
If you represent a brand or manufacturer, contact our seller support team through the Seller Resources hub to ask about official store options.
Remember
A verified or official label tells you something about the seller, but the product listing still matters. Read the condition, specifications, what is included and the delivery estimate for your location before you buy, and keep your order confirmation until you are happy with the item.
Shop with more confidence
Official Stores and the Stores directory make it easier to find sellers you can trust, and every store page gives you the information you need to decide. Use these tools alongside reviews and listing details, and you will shop with more confidence.
