Sometimes the best gift is choice, and sometimes the best purchase is one with a discount attached. We have two features on Airsoko that cover both: Gift Cards and a marketplace-wide Coupons & Promos page.
Airsoko Gift Cards
Our gift cards are stored-value cards that let you "share the joy of shopping". You can Buy Gift Card and view My Gift Cards from the same page.
Designs and values
We currently have several designs, each with a set of preset values:
- Airsoko Gift Card. "Give the gift of choice. Redeemable across all Airsoko stores."
- Birthday Gift Card. "Perfect birthday surprise for your loved ones."
- Festive Season Gift Card. "Celebrate the holidays with a special gift card."
- Happy Birthday card, marked as redeemable for merchandise only, in smaller values.
Values are shown in Kenya shillings. Check the page for the current options, since designs and denominations can change.
Why give a gift card?
- The recipient chooses. No guessing sizes, colours or tastes.
- It works across stores, for the cards marked as redeemable across Airsoko stores.
- It is easy to send when you cannot be there in person.
- It suits any budget, thanks to preset values.
Good to know
Our Returns Policy lists gift cards among items that are non-returnable once opened, unless defective or not as described. Our Help Centre also includes a Gift Card Terms and Conditions topic under Payment and Promotion.
Coupons & Promos
Our Coupons page gathers active promo codes from stores across our marketplace in one place. You can filter by shop, and each coupon card shows:
- The store offering it.
- The code to enter at checkout.
- A short description, for example a new-user discount.
- Validity dates.
- The discount, such as a percentage off.
- Minimum spend, if any.
Select Get Coupon to take the code. Stores can also show their coupons on their own store page under a Coupons tab.
How to use a coupon
- Find a code on the Coupons page or the store's page.
- Read the terms: validity, minimum order and which products or categories are eligible.
- Add eligible items to your cart.
- Enter the code at checkout to apply the discount.
If a code does not work, check the dates and minimum spend first. Coupons can be limited to particular products or categories, and some have a maximum number of redemptions.
For sellers: creating coupons
Stores create coupons from our seller dashboard. The marketing area lets you set a code, discount, minimum order amount, eligible categories or products, dates and maximum redemptions. A well-timed coupon is a great way to welcome new customers or move slow stock.
More ways to save
- Flash Deals for limited-time campaigns.
- Clearance for marked-down items.
- Airsoko Prime for member-only deals and free delivery on eligible orders.
- The newsletter sign-up at the bottom of the homepage, which offers exclusive deals and new arrivals.
Gift card ideas
- Birthdays, using the Birthday or Happy Birthday designs.
- Festive season gifts for family, friends and staff.
- Thank-you gifts for colleagues, teachers or clients.
- Graduations and new jobs, when people are setting up a new home or wardrobe.
- Long-distance gifts for relatives in another town.
Coupon etiquette for shoppers
- Use codes before they expire. Validity dates are shown on each coupon.
- Read the minimum spend so you are not surprised at checkout.
- Check eligibility, because some coupons apply only to selected products or categories.
- One shopper, fair use. Coupons often have redemption limits.
An example
For example, say Kamau wants to buy a cordless kettle and a set of storage containers from the same store. He checks the Coupons page, finds a 10% new-user code from that store with no minimum, confirms the dates are valid, and applies it at checkout. A two-minute check saved him money on an order he was going to place anyway.
Where to find help
Questions about a gift card or a coupon that will not apply? Our Help Centre covers coupons and allowances, payment methods and gift card terms, and you can open a ticket from the Help & Support page with your order or card details.
Give and save
