Selling is only half the story. Getting paid smoothly is the other half. This guide covers setting up payouts on Airsoko and explains when and how we pay you.
Screen names come from our seller dashboard at admin.airsoko.com and may change. Payment terms come from our Finance Guidelines, Seller Agreement and Commission Structure. Always check those pages for the current terms.
Step 1: Complete KYC verification
In the setup checklist on your seller dashboard, KYC is the step where you verify your business identity to enable withdrawals and payouts.
- Go to Settings > KYC.
- Choose your account type and ID document type.
- Upload the front and back of your ID and a profile photo.
- Add a phone number for verification.
- Submit and check your verification status.
Step 2: Add a payout account

- Go to Settings > Payouts and open Payout accounts.
- Select Add payout account.
- Choose the payment method. Options in the dashboard include mobile money (M-Pesa or Airtel) and bank account.
- Enter the details carefully: phone number for mobile money, or bank name and account number for bank transfers.
- Save.
Double-check your details
Under our Finance Guidelines, sellers with incorrect bank details during the payment cycle only receive payment at the end of the month, and we are not responsible for funds sent to incorrect accounts or phone numbers. For M-PESA, make sure your phone number is correct.
The guidelines also list banks we do not accept for payments, so check the list before adding a bank account.
Step 3: Understand the payout schedule
We pay sellers every Wednesday, sending the previous week's earnings to M-Pesa or bank (see our Sell page). Our Finance Guidelines give more detail:

- Weekly: every Wednesday for the previous week's sales.
- Monthly: by the 8th working day of the following month.
- M-PESA payouts apply to sales below KES 50,000.
- EFT and RTGS bank payouts are available on both schedules. Payments reflect the same day for Equity Bank Kenya account holders and take longer for other banks.
To switch between weekly and monthly, contact our vendor support team.
When does a sale become payable?
Under our Seller Agreement, we remit payments after shipped orders are confirmed as received by the customer and the product's return period has expired. Our Seller SLA defines order completion as when the order is delivered and payment is fully processed.
How commission is handled
We deduct commission before remitting the net value, as set out in our Seller Agreement. Our Commission Structure page lists the current rates. Commission is inclusive of payment transaction fees and is deducted automatically from each payout, with a breakdown in your seller dashboard.
Each order page in the dashboard shows the platform commission and shop payout.
For AFS sellers, storage, handling and other fees are itemised in deductions. Our SLA also covers withholding of applicable taxes on commissions above an annual threshold.
Step 4: Track your payouts
The Payouts area includes sections for payout accounts, transactions, withdrawals, fees, schedule and wallets. Use it to see pending payouts and payout history.
If you spot a discrepancy, raise it within 30 days through the seller portal, as our SLA requires.
Protect your account
Our Finance Guidelines remind sellers to protect their Seller Center password, monitor staff with access, and be cautious on public or shared computers.
Troubleshooting
- Payout not received? Check that your payout details are correct and that orders are complete and past their return period.
- Amount lower than expected? Look at the commission and any fees on each order, and refunds.
- Want a different schedule? Contact our vendor support team.
An example: reading a payout
For example, say Daniel sells phone accessories. On Wednesday he opens Payouts and sees the previous week's completed orders. On each order page he can see the platform commission and his shop payout. One order is missing; he checks and finds it is still within the customer's return period, so it will be paid in a later cycle. Understanding the rule saves him an unnecessary support ticket.
Keep payout details current
If you change your phone number or bank, update your payout account before the next cycle.
Getting paid, simply
Getting paid on Airsoko starts with KYC and an accurate payout account. From there, we pay out on the weekly Wednesday or monthly schedule in our Finance Guidelines, with commission deducted and itemised in your dashboard.
