How to Send Your Stock to Airsoko Fulfillment Services (AFS)

Want us to store, pack and deliver your orders? This guide walks through joining AFS, preparing your products, creating an inbound shipment and getting stock to a fulfilment centre.

Packing and delivering every order yourself takes time. Airsoko Fulfillment Services (AFS) lets you store products with us so we handle picking, packing and last-mile delivery. Our short version: "You sell it. We ship it."

This guide walks through getting your stock into AFS. Screen names come from our seller dashboard and may change over time.

Is AFS right for you?

We designed AFS for:

  • Small businesses that do not want to rent a warehouse.
  • Growing brands that want to focus on products and marketing.
  • Cross-border sellers selling to Kenyan customers.
  • Enterprise sellers with high volumes.

You can use AFS and self-shipping at the same time, and there is no minimum inventory requirement.

Step 1: Join AFS

Log in to your Airsoko Seller Dashboard, go to Fulfillment and click Join AFS, then follow the onboarding.

Before you join, read how we price AFS: storage per day, pick and pack per order, and delivery by location, with no sign-up fees or monthly minimums. Under our Seller SLA, AFS storage, handling and other fees are itemised in payout deductions.

Step 2: Choose which products to send

How AFS works, from inventory to returns
How AFS works, from inventory to returns

Good candidates for AFS are:

  • Best sellers that sell steadily.
  • Products that suit fast delivery, where speed helps you win sales.
  • Items that are easy to store and pack.

Be cautious with slow movers. Our Seller SLA treats inventory unsold for 180 consecutive days as dead stock, and we give notice before we may delist it, return it or impose long-term storage fees, and possible disposal after a longer period.

In each product's form, under Fulfillment & storage, you can set the fulfilment mode to AFS and choose a preferred AFS warehouse.

Step 3: Pack to the guidelines

Our Packaging Guidelines require items to be packaged to standard before our fulfilment centres can accept them. Orders that do not meet the standards may be rejected. Check the rules for your category before you pack.

Step 4: Create an inbound shipment

Preparing an inbound shipment

An inbound shipment tells the warehouse what is coming. The AFS page has a Create inbound shipment button, and in our seller dashboard inbound shipments are managed from the inventory area of Products.

  1. Start a new inbound shipment and choose the warehouse.
  2. Add line items: the products and variants or SKUs you are sending, with the expected quantity for each.
  3. Add the carrier and tracking number if you are using a courier.
  4. Add notes for the warehouse team, for example how boxes are labelled.
  5. Save, and mark it as in transit when it leaves.

Step 5: Get your stock to the fulfilment centre

You can ship or drop off products at our fulfilment centre in Nairobi or Eldoret. You can also arrange pickup through your Seller Dashboard or drop off during business hours.

Step 6: Track receiving

Our warehouse staff record what they receive. The inbound shipment view compares expected and received quantities and shows warehouse receiving notes. Check for differences and resolve them quickly.

Under our SLA, risk for products shifts to us when items are received at an AFS centre or collected by an Airsoko logistics partner. Stored inventory is also insured, with compensation based on your listed product value if an item is damaged in our care.

What happens after stock is received

  • Orders for AFS products are picked, packed and shipped by us.
  • Returns for AFS orders are handled by us. Under our Returns Policy, we handle return logistics, inspection and refunds for products we fulfil.
  • You keep listing and pricing, and watch stock levels so you can send more before you run out.

Tips for AFS success

  • Send what sells. Restock little and often rather than storing huge quantities.
  • Label clearly so receiving is quick and accurate.
  • Keep SKUs consistent between your listings and your boxes.
  • Review stock monthly and act early on slow movers.

Labelling tips for faster receiving

  • Label every carton with your store name and a shipment reference.
  • Keep one SKU per carton where possible, or list contents clearly.
  • Match quantities in the inbound shipment to what is actually packed.

From your shelf to our shelves

Getting started with AFS is a simple sequence: join from the seller dashboard, choose your products, pack to the guidelines, create an inbound shipment and send or drop off your stock. From there, we handle storage, packing, delivery and returns.
